How to backup any of Google Products data through Google Takeout, how to use it?
What is Google Takeout or Takeaway?

Google Takeout is also known as Google Takeaway, which is provided backup services of all the Google Products in single file. It's by Google Data Liberation Front.

What kind of data can be exported or backed up?

All the Google Products data can be exported easily. Here is the complete list..

How to use it and How to export or backup on Google Takeout?

Step 1: You need to go takeout.google.com.

Step 2: Login with your Google Account that means GMail.

Step 3: Now, you will see "Select data to include" in CREATE A NEW EXPORT.

Step 4: Simply click on Deselect all.

Step 5: Now, You can search those Google Products, which are you want to backed up or exported. And select it. Click on next step.

Step 6: You can choose file type, frequency & destination according to your needs. And important thing is that choose your delivery method, see the following description.

  • Send download link via email.
When your files are ready, you'll get an email with a download link. You'll have one week to download your files.
  • Add to Drive
After we finish exporting your copy, we will add your files to Drive and email you a link to their location. These files will count against your storage quota.
  • Add to OneDrive
When your files are ready, we'll upload them to OneDrive and send you an email with a link to their location.
  • Add to Box
When your files are ready, we'll upload them to Box and send you an email with a link to their location. 
  • Add to Dropbox
When your files are ready, we'll upload them to Dropbox and send you an email with a link to their location. 

OneDrive, Box & Dropbox is a different company, By choosing this option:
  1. You allow Google to transfer the files on your behalf to the provider.
  2. Once the files are uploaded to this company, Google is no longer responsible for the files and the content in the export is covered by the provider's terms.
Step 7: Select Frequency type according to your files. If you choose Export once, then your backup files in 1 export. And choose Export every 2 months for 1 year then your files will be in 6 exports.
Step 8: Now, it's time to select file type and size. And click on Create Export. So,

  • .zip
Zip files can be opened on almost any computer.
  • 2GB
Exports larger than this size will be split into multiple files. 
  • or 10 GB in Zip (That means >2GB)
Zip files larger than 2GB will be compressed in zip64. Older operating systems may not be able to open this file format. There are external applications that can be used to uncompress zip64 files.
  • .tgz
Additional software may be required to open .tgz files on Windows.
  • 50GB
Exports larger than this size will be split into multiple files.

Step 9: Your export progress successfully completed. Your files are currently being prepared. This process can take a long time (possibly hours or days) to complete. You'll receive an email when your export is done.
Note: Avoid downloading your exports onto public computers or saving them where others can see them.
